You will find three “Royall Tyler”s if you type the name into the search field on Wikipedia. I am the third. The oldest is the American playwright Royall Tyler (1759-1826), a direct ancestor of mine; while the next is my grandfather Royall Tyler (1884-1953), a diplomat and scholar.
